March 7-8th
The Genoa Bar is “Nevada’s Oldest Thirst Parlor” built in 1853. Genoa is a beautiful little secret that is tucked away between Carson City and Gardnerville. It is about 20 minutes from Carson City and 50 minutes from Reno.

March 15th
We talked about some of the great reasons to visit Virginia City in our last post but here is another! On Saint Patrick’s Day weekend more than 3,000 people flood the streets of historic Virginia City to watch and taste as cooks compete to see who can fry up the best Rocky Mountain Oysters. Virginia City is 36 minutes south of Reno.

March 15th
On the third 3rd Saturday of the month the Wine Walk, put on by Reno’s Riverwalk Merchant Association, takes place in downtown Reno. This is a great opportunity to enjoy the beautiful scenery and explore the establishments in the merchant district surrounding the Truckee River. While sipping wine, of course.

March 21st-23rd
The Kerak Shrine Club of Reno is bringing the Circus back to town! It will be held at the Reno Livestock Events Center with the following showtimes:
Friday 7pm
Saturday 11am, 3pm & 7pm
Sunday 1pm & 5pm
Tickets are $14.00 for Adults and $12.00 for children and available for purchase here.
March 22nd
If wine isn’t your thing, then come down and check out the Reno Beer Crawl! It is on the 4th Saturday of the month in the same downtown district as the Wine Walk. The crawl is from 2-6pm with $5 admission fee that gets you a glass and map to go explore the more than 15 establishments participating.
