April is almost here and with the coming of spring comes new events for the Reno-Tahoe area! From high-octane racing to music and food, Reno April events once again have something for everyone.
Squaw Valley & Alpine Meadows
Celebrate sending winter out with a bang, or twang, at this exciting bluegrass and acoustic music festival. Listen to local musicians while enjoying food, craft beer, wine, and spirits. Stop by local art vendors and support nonprofits.
Biggest Little Half Marathon
Ring in Spring with an epic outdoor adventure. Traverse under the Reno Arch, along the Truckee River, and through the beautiful Reno parks in a 10K or 5K marathon. Don’t feel like running? Stop by and support the event, everything benefits the Food Bank of Northern Nevada.
Reno Jazz Festival
Come celebrate all things jazz at one of the world’s largest jazz festivals. This event will include over 9,000 participants! From concerts to competitions, this festival features professional bands and over 350 school groups. The year will be directed Department of Music’s Peter Espin and world-renowned jazz pianist Adam Benjamin.
Genoa Western Heritage Day
Western music, delicious food, Chautauqua performances, and poetry. What’s not to love? Evening entertainment includes the famous Saddle Cats Western Swing Band.

Virginia City Grand Prix
The world famous Virginia City Grand Prix is gearing up for April! The ultimate race starts in historic Virginia City and takes off into the surrounding rocky hills for 4 and a half hours of high-speed racing.
Reno-Sparks Livestock Events Center
ArenaCross presents the battle for the Ricky Carmichael Cup. Motorcyclists compete on the dirt battleground for three days of high-speed action. Don’t miss the excitement!
